general problems of the 2018 Honda CR-V

Drivers air bag and cable reel defective.

The contact owned a 2018 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that while his wife was driving approximately 60 mph, a chevy blazer crashed into the vehicle. The front passenger door was ripped off. There were no warning lights illuminated. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. There was no reported fire.  the passenger occupant sustained head injuries, and medical attention was provided. The driver and two rear occupants had no injuries, but medical attention was provided at the hospital. The vehicle was towed to a towing lot. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000. The vehicle was deemed a total loss by the insurance company.  .

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated while sitting at a stop light, another motorist hit her vehicle on the front passenger side. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact nor the other driver sustained any injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was driven to an independent body shop where it was repaired. Since the accident, the contact stated that several warning lights would flash on the instrument panel either upon start of the vehicle or while driving at various speeds, . The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where a diagnostic showed that the fuel injector needed to be replaced. Prior to owning the vehicle, the contact was informed that a recall(recall unknown) was performed on the vehicle that was related to the fuel injector. A software was performed to repair the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 73900.

Auto accident drive side struck guardrail driver's head hit side window then airbag deployed trapping driver's head between the airbag and door window.

I was having multiple electrical issues with the car, malfunctioning radio, flashing etc. I had it checked out at mahwah Honda and they stated no issues. Last week I was in an accident in which my car was deemed totaled. As I was crossing the intersection a car sped through a red light traveling at a high speed hitting my passenger side. This caused the passenger air bags to deploy (I was traveling alone) and the impact caused me to hit another car across the roadway. The driver side air bags did not deploy even though I hit another car. I do not understand why my air bags did not go off and do not recall if the on star worked as well. I do not know if this is all related to the electrical issues I reported which Honda dismissed.

After an accident, the Honda dealership failed to replace all required components necessary to ensure the safe operation of the vehicle. They said it is okay that the airbag light still comes up and that I should ignore it.

While traveling straight through an intersection my Cr-v was t-boned on the passenger front door by a super duty large truck traveling approx 55-60mph. The front side curtain deployed saving my daughter. The impact pushed our Cr-v across the intersection into a metal power pole sustaining a more significant, secondary impact. Neither front airbags deployed leaving myself with multiple severe injuries requiring surgery and a week hospitalization therafter.

A police report was not filed. The vehicle was driven to the contact's home. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer was not notified. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 21,000.

Tl the contact owned a 2018 Honda Cr-v. While driving 40 mph through an intersection, the contact crashed into the passenger side of another vehicle. The contact's vehicle sustained front end damage and the front passenger door failed to completely open. The driver's side was more damaged than the passenger side. The passenger sustained a fractured chest bone and a hemotoma in the chest. The passenger was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The contact was also taken to the hospital via ambulance. A police report was filed and the deputy sheriff informed the contact that they did not have to ask for any statements from him because the other driver was at fault. The passenger had to be transported to another hospital that could treat major chest injuries. The vehicle was totaled and deemed destroyed. The insurance adjuster informed the contact that not all of the air bags deployed, especially on the passenger side. The contact took photos of the crash. The failure mileage was 16,000.

I was in a collusion with the 2018 Cr-v and none of the airbags deployed. The vehicle was in motion when the collision occurred. I was getting ready to travel through an intersection when a semi truck struck the Cr-v on the driver's side near the tire. The rate of speed and impact should have caused the airbags to deploy.

Takata recall. I had sat through a red light at an intersection and the light gave me a green arrow. I was trying to make a left turn and the at fault driver ran the red light and hit me in the drivers door. My head hit the window and the airbag deployed as I was coming off the window. I was pinned between the window and the airbag. The airbag did not deflate until someone found a pocket knife to cut it so I could sit up. Resulting injuries were to my head, neck, and ribs.
