The contact pulled over to the side of the road, turned off the vehicle, and wait a half an hour and restarted the vehicle; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The contact also stated that the instrumental panel had become inoperable. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer and was diagnosed with fuel injector #1 failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. However, no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.
