Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problems of the 2018 Honda CR-V

Three problems related to recreational vehicle lpg tank valve/gauge have been reported for the 2018 Honda CR-V. The most recently reported issues are listed below. Please also check out the statistics and reliability analysis of the 2018 Honda CR-V based on all problems reported for the 2018 CR-V.

1 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 02/06/2019

Car temperature gauge was not heating up properly. In cold weather when ideling would not move from cold position, therefore produce no heat. When driving it at 35miles an hour gauge would go up some ,and when slowing to 25 miles gauge would drop back down to cold, with no heat. Car would also stall after it was started and left in park when I would get in to put it in drive. This would all happen during cold weather. Honda did the recall because they found the gas and oil mixture problem. Did an oil change and did the recall update on control panel and software. Got the car back and it is still having the same problem with the temperature gauge dropping down to cold and loss of heat, when driving short trips. Honda said they could not figure out how to fix it.

2 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2018

In cold weather - below ~15 degrees, the engine fully warms up at highway speeds but temp drops to below the bottom of the gauge if you exit the highway or get into traffic jam . At less than highway speed/bumper to bumper traffic, heat/defroster not warm enough to keep windshield clear. Glass/wipers ice up.

3 Recreational Vehicle Lpg Tank Valve/gauge problem

Failure Date: 11/13/2018

Fuel is mixing with the engine oil causing the oil level to become high and the oil diluted. On short cold trips, the cab smells of gasoline. I had the oil changed by the dealer and not even 300 miles later, the oil level is high again and the oil smells of gasoline. Additionally, my Cr-v does not heat up properly. When started cold, the temperature gauge on the dash never comes off of cold, no matter how long it idles. It takes at least 5 minutes of driving to register heat. When I remote start my car on cold days, it does not actually heat up the car.
