After the contact made serval attempts to close the lift gate with the vehicles remote, the lift gate was manually closed by force. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear lift gate door need replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 4,275.
