I was driving along I-20/59 northbound approaching bessemer, al near or between mile marker 102-104. Suddenly I heard a “pop” sound coming from behind me and noticed in my rear view mirror the rear windshield had a small hole in it. I had just merged into the far left passing lane when this occurred and then proceeded to merge to exit onto exit 104 (mcashan dr. / mccalla). As I continued to drive glass began to shatter and the hole expanded. I was initially startled and afraid because I didn’t know what was happening. Once I exited, I parked at the flying j truck stop and exited the vehicle to further assess. I called my parents and then a bessemer police officer to file a report. I’m not certain if something hit my windshield, if this is the result of a manufacturing malfunction, or other unknown occurrence due to external factors.
Thank you.
No problem.
Hood wobbles crazy while driving highway speed as if it is going to open or come out. Seem the outer panel of hood has rust by the joints where it is joined to the inner panel of the hood. Almost all the joints seem to be not joined well together. This is a structural body issue, car is less than 3 years old. And currently I have about 55k miles on it. Noticed the hood wobble when it had less than 30,000 miles but upon checking under the hood there were no visible signs of defect. But recently(51k mile roughly) after a car wash I opened the hood to see the inside of the car, that's when I noticed that the hood inner joints have rust and are not joint together properly with inner panel of the hood. Reached out to the dealership but they deny to fix this as it has been more than 36000 miles. At the dealership there was another person with 2025 Honda crv, I checked with the owner to let me see if his car had similar issue or not. Upon checking the hood his car's one of the joint was loose ( given that car is less than an year old so there was no rust. ) seems Honda is used some adhesive to stick the metal panels of the hood together which start to deteriorate over time. There are many crv owners who are having similar issue but the dealership resolves the issue for them given that they have less than 36000 miles on it. Honda does have "rust perforation limited warranty" which is valid until 5 years, but for them to fix the car there has to be rust perforation aka hole in the panel inside out to fix it. Does this mean I have to wait for another 2 years and 5 months for the rust to progress and cause a hole in the panel inside out?? what if I start seeing the rust perforation right after 5 years. Honda will fix this for me or I have to pay out of my pocket to get it fixed. Also my car has never been in any kind of accident, it has the panel which came from the Honda factory. Also it is not a flood vehicle either for it to start getting rust. Please see attached pics.
Left side (drivers side) mirror vibrates at high speeds. This creates a distortion with the inability to safely judge distances from other cars, any objects near by, makes attempts at lane changes unsafe.
The hood seems to wobble/shake during highway speeds. Very noticeable when wind speed is high. Seems to be a common problem with 2023 crv hybrids. There should be a recall to have hoods fixed since this is a major safety problem.
I was in the collision accident on the service road when my new Honda Cr-v 2023 started skidding to the left while I was making the smooth turn to the right, the vehicle was pulling to the left side of the road, hitting the metal guardrail on the driver side. Looked like I lost traction and skid from left then to the right , unable to control and maneuver the steering wheel. The vehicle was in steering recall but I was not aware of that, did not receive any notice of the recall. If this accident had never happened I probably would continue driving the unsafe vehicle and be more in a severe crash. The vehicle' steering column did not work and the vehicle was not drivable after the accident, and was towed to the car repair shop. I immediately notified the state farm insurance about the collision but nobody told me I had to call the police.
Driver side mirror cracked vertically. Honda says it is "weather related" because I told them it happened while I was driving in snow. It is not covered under warranty. This is a safety issue!.
At high speeds, hood vibrates and moves abnormally up and down. The hood wobbles at highway or interstate speeds.
Hood shakes when driving at highway speed.
When driving the vehicle in the rain, there is water running inside of the driver's side door. The problem is evidenced by the sound of running water originating from the inside of the driver's side door. The issue was checked and verified by the dealer who removed the driver's side roof molding and sealed a spot by the roof molding clip. The issue was not resolved so the the dealer now states that the issue is inherent in all 2023 crvs so there is nothing they can do about it. With that much water running within the door, there may be a potential for corrosion and possible structural failure of the door components.
On 7/12/23 passenger side front door would not close after multiple attempts. I unlocked the doors from the driver side to allow my son in. He tried closing the door multiple times once he got in. I ensured nothing was blocking the door, and it still wouldn’t close. I pulled on the inside handle and tried closing it again. This time it did and I haven’t been able to replicate it again. I plan on having it inspected by the dealership.
The Honda 2023 crv hybrid sport experiences significant hood flexing / movement at high speeds, giving the indicator that the hood may suddenly open while driving (should the latch break). This happens always at speeds of 60mph+ or during high wind circumstances and the movement gets far worse the higher in speed or the higher the wind conditions. The hood is confirmed closed each time before it starts and this happens with consistency. I have made an appointment to speak with the dealer about this on this upcoming Friday, but I have read online of many other individuals experiencing this issue and wanted to report it to ensure others are not impacted dangerously by this issue. No warning messages, symptoms, or lights appear. The issue has been confirmed.
After 6 months and 12000 miles of ownership I’m starting to notice dents forming along the left side and right side of the roof rail from the front to the back of the vehicle. This issue verified be a dealership as a manufacturing issue. I was quoted a price for repairs which would be added to my car fax. There might be an issue with frame or metal used for this vehicle.
The hood appears to flex when you reach speeds greater than 40mph. Took it to Honda and it appears that the weld joints already broke loose. So were the outside hood is welded to the internal frame of the hood, it has come loose at all 15+ joints and is now rusted. Honda is working with me to determine next steps but I have read online that this appears to be a larger issue. Many users are experiencing this problem.
The driver’s side mirror vibrates a lot( it’s so hard to see anything, especially on the freeway “it gets blurry”). The dealership changed the mirror glass for me and the issue still there. I went back again and complained, and they ordered the whole mirror assembly for me (I waited 6 months)—the replaced it for me, and still the mirror vibrates. I would love to hear back from you guys because it’s so unpredictable! thanks.
Hood shakes like crazy at sppeds over 60 mph, brought to dealer and they said it was "normal" and there is nothing they can do. It is shaking badly and I worry it will pop up and cause an accident. Not pleased with this at all. Second thing is it has developed a loud wind noise on passengers side "a" pillar near the windshield it seems. Going in to the dealer for them to look at that next week, as was not present when new, and we have now about 12,000 miles on it and it is about 10 months old. Other issue is the drivers side mirror shakes and vibrates lots at highway speeds making it difficult to use day or night, it is terrible. So far, not a happy customer. Lastly, the horn is really not loud enough, and also complained to dealer about that and they said "they are all like that" nothing they can do. .
At higher speeds the hood shakes and bounces up and down. I have adjusted the hood bumper stops but to no avail. I have to slow down as a result so I don't damage the hood.
The reverse camera works poorly and is not clearly especially if it’s wet outside. Water smears on the camera more easily than other cars I have owned even if it’s not actively raining. My 2013 g37 and 2017 mercedes glc300 never had visibility issues for the camera and the Infiniti is 11 years older. Honda states it’s normal. I think it’s a bad design that allows camera lens to hold water on it. It’s a potential danger when reversing during rain or if car is wet.
The hood on my 2023 Honda crv moves up and down when traveling over the speed of 60 mph. I called my Honda dealership several times and have been told each time not to bring it in because it would be a waste of my time, and this is normal on this model to have a vibrating hood, due to design and use of light weighted metals. They went on to say, there is nothing Honda will do for this. It reminds me of seeing a sewing machine needle move up and down. Not only is it distraction, but I am concerned that one day the hood might pop open while driving, therefore creating multiple hazards.
