The contact owns a 2024 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the front passenger’s side door failed to latch as intended. The contact stated that the front passenger’s door was independently unlatched and opened. The contact stated that the failure occurred twice while her young daughter was occupying the front passenger’s seat. In addition, while starting the vehicle, the door ajar warning light illuminated. After several attempts to close and latch the front passenger’s door, the warning light turned off. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,300.
