The contact owns a 2025 Honda Cr-v. The contact stated that after purchasing the vehicle, the contact discovered that there was a gap on the passenger-side of the hood. The contact stated that while driving at 60 mph, the hood fluttered upward as air entered under the hood. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the contact that the vehicle was performing as designed; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who determined that the hood had separated and the hood latch was loose. The contact was provided a loaner vehicle. The dealer notified the manufacturer of the failure, and the manufacturer agreed to replace the hood. The vehicle was not yet repaired and remained at the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.

The contact stated that the failure had been recurring while exceeding 50 mph and was more significant whenever a semi-truck drove by the vehicle on a two-lane road. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the bracing underneath the hood was reglued, the hood latch was adjusted, and the elevation of the rubber bumpers underneath the hood was modified; however, the failure worsened. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 800.
