Chest Clip, Buckle, Harness problem #2

The button on the car seat that is meant to tighten the shoulder harness is made of hard plastic, protrudes out without any cushion to cover it, and is located right where my child’s feet lay. As a result, my child has suffered injury on their (foot, ankle and calf) from kicking this part. I did reach out to the manufacturer, and they advised me to put socks on my child or a towel down over the part to prevent injury. The car seat was $550.
