1 Power Train problem of the 2013 Honda Crosstour

Failure Date: 07/29/2024

As I was driving out of the parking garage I could not turn the wheel of my vehicle and almost hit a cement pillar. A light popped on that had a steering wheel and a exclamation mark. This message had never popped up before. I looked in my owners manual and found it was the power steering sign. I thought my vehicle needed power steering fluid but found out it was automatic. I took it to the dealership and they stated I need a steering rack.

2 Power Train problem of the 2015 Honda Crosstour

Failure Date: 11/21/2022

I have a 2015 Honda accord Crosstour, that was purchased in June 2022and since November 2022 , every few attempts, the car fails to start and, at times, grinds. This is a known problem under Honda service bulletin 16-002. I expect for the problem to be fixed and it has not. The starter was replaced, and it is still doing it. There is a second part to attempt to fix the problem, but Honda will not do it. Unfortunately, Honda has not been forced to address this problem and make customers whole fully. I have been stranded several times with two young children waiting for the car to start. Sometimes it starts, and sometimes it doesn't. As an owner of 3 Hondas, I will never buy another Honda again. I feel duped and defrauded.

3 Power Train problem of the 2012 Honda Crosstour

Failure Date: 09/14/2022

Honda is aware of faulty vtc actuators on certain models. There is no active recall to repair the defective part. This issue causes extra wear on the engine, which could then lead to catastrophic failure. That causes great hazard as that failure can occur at any time. Honda is currently charging owners roughly $2000 (in wake county, nc) to repair this issue. This should be a covered recall for all owners, to avoid engine failure, accidents, and potential deaths on the roads.

12 Power Train problem of the 2013 Honda Crosstour

Failure Date: 07/19/2018

After taking my vehicle to holman Honda sunrise for airbag safety recall a vibration started happening. Took back in to the dealership was told air recall fixing wouldn't caused it then they did an inspection provided three recommendations for repair front passenger axle, brakes and rotator, and all new four wheels. Completed all recommendations given by the dealership vibrations still not fixed. Had a second inspection on the vehicle by private mechanic who seen that the axle part is bad. Went back to holman Honda sunrise made them aware and asked them to inspect their axle part to see if it was failing; they refused to check the axle part and just wanted to issue a refund to not deal with the safety of my son and me. Contacted Honda manufacturer about this safety concern on a manufacturer defected part they refused assistance and recommended to continue working with the dealership who refused to take liability on a party they sold to me. Also Honda manufacturer referred me to go deal with another dealership and pay more money out of pocket after already working with a dealership associated with them that has been negligent about my safety. Due to axle vibration has caused the axle seals to link. This has been a frustration as the dealership and manufacture has not showed any safety concerns on a vehicle that could cause injuries. This has been a horrible experience to see how the dealership and manufacture treat people families and life of other because of their bad malpractice and refuses to assist consumers further they avoid the liability and push it on the consumer after their service. Honda once were trusted vehicles now I put no trust in them as they have little concerns or no remorse about the safety of consumers driving they vehicle. Its like money over safety. Its sad when a consumer has paid out of pocket spent so much time trusting Honda still no fix.

13 Power Train problem of the 2012 Honda Crosstour

Failure Date: 03/10/2018

I began experiencing a shaking steering wheel during acceleration last fall. (approximately 70,000 miles) after replacing all 4 tires, replacing front brakes & rotors, replacing bearings, doing an alignment and having my mechanic rebuild the front driver's side axle, I finally gave up and went to the dealer. Within about 2 minutes of discussing this problem, the service manager told me that he had seen numerous problems with this vehicle and told me that Honda had upgraded the axle. I had to replace both axles but no recall or information has ever been posted by Honda for this problem. If this is, indeed a common problem on this vehicle, I think a recall should be initiated!.

14 Power Train problem of the 2012 Honda Crosstour

Failure Date: 02/02/2018

My 2012 Crosstour is now suffering from what seems to be the very common shaking/shuddering issue. The problem presents between 20-45mph and again around 60mph, while under acceleration. The parts remain on national backorder. How can Honda get away with not supporting these vehicles? owners really should begin to consider getting together to bring a class action lawsuit against Honda.

15 Power Train problem of the 2010 Honda Crosstour

16 Power Train problem of the 2012 Honda Crosstour

Failure Date: 11/16/2016

Extreme vibration at 35-45 mph and at acceleration more so in a right turn Honda says the axles are on national back order I have read complaints about this problem that date back more than a year this should be a recall. It is getting dangerous to drive.

17 Power Train problem of the 2012 Honda Crosstour

Failure Date: 11/23/2014

On 11/23/15 I bought my 2012 Honda Crosstour to my mechanic after feeling a shimmy in the front end. Wanted to make sure car was not out of alignment. After checking all the normal check points (ie. . Tires, wheel balance, motor and transmission mount), did a check on both right and left axles. Mechanic stated the fluttering is due a manufacture defect in the driver side axle. Honda was told me that the part (44306-tp6-305) is on national back order and there was no eta. It is 8/8/16 still waiting for axle. I have opened a case ticket again with Honda but have been told the same thing. I find it difficult to believe that this part in on national back-order for over a year and that there is no recall. The car has gotten worse and now I¿m unable to drive my car since due to this dangerous issue. This would be the second axle that I¿m replacing.

18 Power Train problem of the 2014 Honda Crosstour

Failure Date: 03/07/2014

I purchase a 2014 Honda sport on October 2013 with 0 miles. 4 months later I started to have issues with engine vibration shake while on full stop on drive mode. It has been back to where the vehicle was purchase 3x regarding the issue and still they cannot duplicate the problem. On other occasion the car also now stalls out on the freeway doing 50 - 80 mph. Vehicle has stalled out 4x since then to make it worst it even stalled out at the dealers drive way. Its now back again at the dealer ship for the 5th times with my concerns on engine motor vibration shaking, hesitation when the car accelerate, oil level gets low, engine ticking,, so overall major safety concerns for a car that is not even a year of purchase. I been given the run around with dealership, american Honda corporate, I bought a lemon car and my major concern is my family riding in this car and there playing games for customer major concerns.

19 Power Train problem of the 2013 Honda Crosstour

Failure Date: 08/08/2013

Hesitation: when trying to accelerate, after stopping, in many instances there is a very pronounced hesitation before the car starts forward. This is a real problem when attempting to merge into traffic or accelerate from a stop sign or traffic light. There is a safety problem when pressing on the accelerator and it takes several seconds for the car to start moving.

20 Power Train problem of the 2010 Honda Crosstour

Failure Date: 10/30/2012

I bought the car used with approximately 23000 miles; it is still under the factory warranty. I had read about other owners' descriptions of "shutter" from the drive train between 20-27 mph under moderate acceleration, a slight shaking felt through the car body, and noticed mine displayed this same condition. I took the car to a local dealer on oct 30, 2012, explained the problem I was experiencing, and mentioned that Acura had issued a TSB concerning a similar situation. The mechanic stated this TSB did not apply to Honda cars. Nonetheless, when the dealer returned the car, they had applied a transmission controller software update; I do not know if this is the same update issued by Acura. They also turned the front rotors and recommended tire balancing. I had them balanced immediately. My family and I took a 4 hour road trip over the thanksgiving holiday, consisting of mostly interstate travel. I noticed the "shutter" getting worse, especially once the car was warm, still between 20-27 mph. I also noticed a slight vibration above 70 mph. I dismissed this high speed vibration as a tire balance issue, but I see other owners' complain about this condition, as well. The shutter continued, and on Dec 8, I noticed that once it was warm, the car had started to vibrate throughout, at any speed. The transition to this condition is most noticeable while driving the car while cold, allowing it to warm up, and feeling the change in overall ride feel from cold to warm, not felt through the wheel, throttle pedal, or shifter, but throughout the chassis and body. On Dec 10, I took the car to another dealer, closer to my workplace, concerned that something was broken. The dealer representative stated they could not duplicate the problem. I felt it while she drove it, but she stated she did not. She said the local Honda representative said no tsbs or recalls applied.
