"system starter" light appears on the dash. Car will not start. Sounds of grinding and almost like a hissing sound coming out. It has to do with the push button start. Something is wrong. Honda is well aware of this issue. I have been reading about it via online for a while, there are quite a few cases of this in all models Honda manufactures. It is a very costly repair, one that Honda should make a recall or pay us customers back.

The contact stated that the starter failed to function properly to start the vehicle, various warning indicators had illuminated and the dealer, andy mohr Honda, 1441 south liberty dr, bloomington, in 47403, (812) 336-6865 had been unable to replicate the failure. The contact had an extended warranty however the dealer was indicating that if unable to replicate the failure a diagnosis was not available to determine if the permanent remedy. The manufacturer and dealer indicated that there was no recall, the manufacturer had issued two TSB aer-15070c and ai6002 however, the contact was uncertain as to when the failure may happen without a diagnosis. We bought the vehicle new in 2014. The battery prematurely failed first and now we are having issues with the starter not engaging. It takes several attempts to start and it has done this on three different out of state road trips. The dealership is refusing to acknowledge problem at the moment.
