My 2010 Honda accord Crosstour was low in oil but the engine oil light never came on to warn me. However the engine light did come on. I had oil and took it to dealer for an oil change which was not due. The dealer did not want to reset the engine light. The engine light error code p3497. Several Honda car owners have complained about the p3497 error code staying on. This is costing consumers a lot of money to have a diagnostic on the error code and repairs. This should be a recall. When pressing the throttle during low speeds, the car hesitates with no change to rpm and no response from the engine to produce power to increase vehicle speed. In order to overcome the hesitation, I have to fully disengage my right foot from the throttle and press the throttle again in order for the engine to respond to my command and provide power. This solution does not always rectify the problem to where sometimes I just wait for the car to pick up on my command to increase speed. This occurs multiple times a day since I purchased the car new in November of 2015. This fault introduce a safety condition while driving. One example: 1) at stop lights when given the green light, the car responds normal and produces power, but seconds later the vehicle power is non-exist (as described above) and the drivers behind me almost hit the rear of my vehicle since they would not expect my vehicle to have such abrupt loss in speed. Also, keep in mind that I have no intention of using my brakes since there is no need for me to apply my brakes so the tailing drivers would not get the idea to slow down as they do not see my brake lights.

When attempting to accelerate from a stoplight, a slight push on the gas pedal has no effect on the car. Since there is no reaction from the car I will push down slightly further on the gas pedal in which case the car absolutely takes off and almost spins tires. Very dangerous in certain situations, especially with the more powerful v6 engine I have in my Crosstour. This happens at least once a month and scares the living hell out of me. Next time I buy a car, I am getting on this website first. All but one Crosstour complaint is specifically related to this issue.

At low speed the vehicle hesitates before accelerating. First noticed problem in mall parking lots. When I attempted to slowly maneuver the vehicle, the vehicle failed to respond to the gas pedal. If you continue to apply the gas, the vehicle would lunge forward, almost spinning the front wheels. Yesterday I made a right turn on to a busy road, and the vehicle just died. With a garbage truck fast approaching I continued to apply the gas, and the vehicle finally accelerated.
