The contact owns a 2006 Honda Element. The contact stated that he was unable to see any of the indicators in the instrument panel when the sun was shining. The failure prevented him from keeping track of his driving speed because the speedometer was not visible. The failure almost caused the contact to strike another vehicle while driving 50 mph.
