When I ask how long it will take, lady say about 1/2 day. When I ask if Honda will give me car to drive in that time, she stated no. , but I can rent a vehicle for $75. Dealers name: gary smith Honda, 225 miracle strip sw, FL. , 32548. Is it safe to drive this car?.

Motor mounts bust causing shaking alot of reports on youtube. Airbag passenger turns off at times no apparent reason. Sometimes with bag in seat or nothing at all. Motor mounts are bad in these cars won't last 100 thousand miles bolts break if it doesn't get fixed automatically. Antioch brake system slides when slammed on breaks in no rain.

Takata recall Honda is not resolving my alternative transportation needs while they deal with their recall issues. They gave me a rough estimate of 2019 for replacement parts to fix my explosive airbag. I have waited a week now without a phone call from the department I was instructed to call and I am not being able to safely use my vehicle. This situation is now costing me personally on many levels, both in safety and financial means as I can't use my car. I am asking the government for help by filing this complaint.
Nhtsa recall 16v-344 requiring replacement of the airbag on my vehicle was issued on may 23, 2016. I was told by my local dealership (Honda cars of rock hill (SC)) that the bags were not available but on order. In July, 2016, I received from american Honda motor company a notice of the recall including the statement,"Honda suggests that you avoid having a passenger sit in the front passenger's seat until the recall repair has been performed. " I called the dealership back and was told that the parts were still not available and that I was "on a waiting list. " on August 16, I again called the dealership and was told the parts are not available and that they "have no idea" when they will be. Today, August 17, I spoke with american Honda and a representative said, "no one can tell you when the parts will be available. " if no one in Honda knows when the parts will be available then it is conceivable that they never will be. It is unrealistic and impractical (and unsafe) to assume that the front passenger seat will not be used until some date no one in Honda knows.
I received the recall notice (see attachment) from Honda in July 2016. I made an appointment at fairfax Honda for repair. When I stopped by to drop it off the person at the service told me they need to place an order for the part. He said I should be getting a call or an email when it's delivered. I never heard back from them for 2weeks so I called them. They said it's not delivered yet so I will have to wait more. It's now January 2017 and haven't heard anything.

Takata recall-have vacation booked using auto train to fla. Booked about 8 months ago. Scheduled to leave 8/17. Received recall notice 7/18-told not to use car if passenger in seat. Airbag will not be available until late summer or fall. Called Honda (1-888-234-2138) and explained situation. I was told that I needed a rental and they would get back to me. I call again in 7/25 and was told that they would expedite rental. I called again 8/1 and told that it is in the works but they have 10k complaints to process. I am between a rock and a hard place as we will be forced to use the car but am afraid of what could happen. I am running out of time and my wife and I are not sure where to go for help.
I received a letter from Honda in mid July saying that I needed to make arrangements to have my air bag serviced. I called 7/17/16 to make the appointment. It also stated to not allow any passengers in the front seat until the repair was made. I am still waiting for my local Honda dealer to get the part. It has been 90 days since I called and made the request. I have been in contact with Honda numerous times and they still do not have the part fro my car. The notice I received said I could fie a complaint after 60 days and I decided to give them some additional time before making the complaint. I am tired of waiting and not being able to have passengers in the front seat. It has been a real inconvenience.

I called again on August 20th and they said there was no time in the future when this would be fulfilled. This is our only vehicle, and we do not have room to drive safely in it.
Takata recall - parts not being provided to fix problem. Honda not helping us with alternative transportation, wont even call us back. Use car several times weekly with full passengers. Only one car. Don't feel safe. Have known about recall since 7/6/16 and on their list. Still no fix and no hope to be fixed soon. Car companies are responsible for providing a safe, usable product. Our car is not safe or usable in the manner we need to use it. This has caused much havoc in our regular routine. Honda has been unconcerned about our case.

Takata airbag - this vehicle was purchased in florida in 2007 and has been driven in a hot humid climate ever since. We were notified in June of the recall and since then, Honda have been unable to provide the part or fix the problem. It needs to be addressed now.
Takata recall I contacted the dealer on 6/27/2016 to schedule recall repair. I called again on 8/25 and they stated part was ordered on 7/19 (more than 2 weeks after my initial request) and is still not in. This delay is causing significant problems as I cannot transport anyone in the front passenger seat for the last 2 months! still no word on timing of repair. Very frustrating .

I called them several times and was told the parts are on backorder and they have no idea when they will be in. I called Honda customer service and they did nothing either. I drove into my driveway to park in our car port. As I approached the car port the car suddenly accelerated. I applied the brakes but it did not even slow down. The car went over a 8 inch by 4 inch barrier at the front of the car port, continued to gain speed as it went through a small garden, then it knocked down our privacy fence. All during this time I was applying the brake. The car then went about 60 feet through our neighbors yard and continued through the next houses' privacy fence and went another 6 feet and finally stopped when it hit the house. The air bags never released.
I have experienced the same issues in a recall (07v-549) for wire harness occupant detection system. This recall applies to "salt states", howver we here in florida near the gulf of mexico have the same issue with salt and corrosion. I would like to urge the NHTSA to expand the recall to include all states near salt water. The dealer and Honda motor cars, USA have refused to fix this issue at no cost.
