The contact stated that the vehicle was able to stop; however, the failure recurred an hour later when parking the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 51,000.

2 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 02/05/2014

The traction control is not functioning properly. The vehicle is not able to climb an incline, while road is mildly covered in snow. Driver has to dangerously turn around or stop and call for assistance.

3 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 10/07/2013

The contact owns a 2012 Honda Fit sport. The contact stated that while driving various speeds, the vehicle lunged forward without warning. The contact mentioned that the failure would recur intermittently. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic where it was advised that the power train control module or the electric throttle pedal could have been defective. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 12,700 and the current mileage was 19,000. 4 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 01/17/2013

The contact owns a 2012 Honda Fit. The contact stated that while the vehicle was in park, she depressed the brake pedal and the engine revved. The contact shifted the vehicle into neutral, took her foot off the brake pedal and turned the vehicle off. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection but they could not determine the cause of failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 15,000.
