Failure Date: 03/28/2016

"takata recall" this weekend I received the recall notice and when I called the dealership I find I can have a rental car, but it comes with restrictions. If my car is unsafe I need a comparable vehicle now. Again, if this car is unsafe, I need another vehicle, but comparable vehicle without restrictions, now. I have not had an accident, but I now dread this becoming a notification from a next of kin.

"takata recall" my daughter's car was recalled. We called a dealer in dallas, TX where the vehicle is with her at school. She is now driving a rental car until her car can be fixed due to the recall. We were told that the parts are not available until July. The car is parked at her college for the time being. We recently found out that we are relocating due to my job, on or about may 19, 2016. The car can not be driven due to the recall so I contacted Honda to see if they would pay to transport the vehicle from dallas to trussville, alabama where we will be living. I received a phone call today and the gentleman told me that Honda will not be paying to transport the vehicle. We can not drive it. . . . How are we supposed to get it to alabama? it's not our fault that there is a recall. . . I feel that Honda should do something to accomodate us. The have offered no solution. The vehicle will not be able to stay on the school's property for much longer. . . . Our daughter is graduating on may 14th. . . Then we will head to alabama. Please help us figure out how to transport the vehicle. . . . We cannot afford to transport it ourselves.

Takata recall. Despite a recall in February, six months later apparently parts are not available, and more to the point no loaner cars have been or are yet available, either from my now-local dealer (yonkers Honda, 2000 central park Ave, yonkers, NY 10710). When I checked last in June they said parts would be coming in the summer, but still no parts. I am very nervous driving a car that could cause my death in a crash, and don't understand why Honda has made loaner car available to some people, but not others (like me).
