1 Body problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2023

The floor of the driver seat and the floor of the front passenger seat continuously flood after it rains. I have dried the floors with a vacuum and checked for any potential leaks or blockages. However, I cannot find any blockages or leaks that are causing the floors of the car to flood, and it continues to flood after it rains. Besides the floors, nothing else is wet--the seats themselves are dry, and the steering wheel and dashboard all look dry. I am worried this water can lead to the floors rotting or retaining water and having mold--which will be a health concern.

2 Body problem

Failure Date: 09/02/2020

The air deflector under the front of my car has fallen down 5 times over the past 5 years. It has been replaced once. This has happened during highway driving. I have had to have it zip tied multiple times because either the clips that are used to anchor it are defective, poorly designed, or there are not enough to withstand the forces of the wind.

3 Body problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2020

Paint from factory failed. Peels off in sheets. Items falling off a moving car is safety reason enough. Poor paint adhesion was confirmed by local paint/ body repair business. Honda has agreed by extending paint warranty for 7 years from build date but doesn't offer a recall # record to help with the steps of them handling the cost.

4 Body problem

Failure Date: 06/06/2018

The clear coat on my car is chipping. There is spots all over the drivers side and then some around the rest of the car. I have involved the dealership that I got it from about the issue and involved Honda corporation. They brought in 2 managers of Honda corporation to look at my car. And they said it was definitely in an accident and there's nothing they can do and to just pay for my car to be repainted myself. I said that it was too much money I can not afford that. Then they said " well just keep waxing it then". I am very upset and annoyed from this. So I wanna write this complaint to find out information if theres anything else I can do. It has been like this since I got the car.

5 Body problem

Failure Date: 05/03/2018

Rear window 'exploded'. I was waiting to make a left turn, no one was behind me, nothing was touching the window, the inside termperatrue was cool, and the front windows were partially open. I heard a loud noise and saw about 1/2 of the window was missing and the rest was crackeled into little pieces. Photo taken immediately after window broke.

6 Body problem

Failure Date: 04/23/2018

After any significant rainfall, water collects within the doors and leaks into the cabin. This water accumulates under the seats and promotes the growth of mold and mildew under the cabin. After a 1-inch rainfall, approximately 2 cups of water collect under the rear seat on the driver side. This leakage occurs both when the car is in motion or stationary.

7 Body problem

Driving south bound on ballplay rd. Madisonville, TN our side air bag curtains deployed at the same time. There was no impact causing them to deploy. Causing us to leave the road. With some damage to the bottom sides of the car.

8 Body problem

Failure Date: 07/19/2017

Possible takata inflators: car in motion hit a large, unexpected, recently fallen tree limb on a public street and rolled over it. The front bumper completely removed and the side airbag went off. However, the front airbag did not deploy causing a visual (CT scan) crack in the driver's sternum. Please note my name is freya s. Wilkes and I am writing this on behalf of my mother.

9 Body problem

Failure Date: 07/25/2016

And around 17,000 miles the car developed an extremely loud squeak that sounded as those it was coming from the dashboard. I took it to the dealer who discovered that were loose bolts from the factory causing the front bumper to squeak. In the process of looking for the squeak they dismantled the dash board. Now the dashboard has come apart around the passenger airbag and cannot be put back to original factory specs. This is an extremely dangerous situation for a passenger in the event of the airbag deployment.

10 Body problem

Failure Date: 06/15/2016

The splash guard/splash shield came loose under the front of my car and started dragging while I was driving down the highway. I pulled over and was able to remove it. The Honda dealership says it is unusable and have ordered one to replace it. It will cost $232 for the part and I don't know how much to install it.

11 Body problem

Failure Date: 06/11/2016

Splash guard between front wheels came off while driving down a completely clear freeway and was dragging. Had to drive 15 miles to the nearest exit to buy duct tape, in the process the entire loose side of the splash guard was ruined. No foreign object hit the splash guard.

14 Body problem

Failure Date: 12/09/2014

After two trips to the Honda dealer, water continues to accumulate on the floor behind the driver seat, whenever the car is driven through heavy rains. We now have another half quart of water on the floor behind the drivers set, and believe there is a serious defect in our 2015 Honda Fit (a six speed). This much water on the floor can lead to rust, mold, electrical, and mildew/ problems and we feel a need to report the problem we are having. Dealers tend to suggest that car owners are dopes who leave their rear windows open in the rain when this type of thing happens, but that is not the case. We have documentation of our results from the dealer and can provide reports from an independent mechanic if needed. The 2015 Fit was redesigned and this may be an early indicator that many more people are going to have similar experiences.
