Driving to work early morning I had the headlights on and all the sudden it was dark, people were flashing their lights at me. I had to pull over. The high beams would come on but the low beam and fog lights wouldn't. They finally turned on after a while. They have turned off by their self a few times now. There needs to be a recall. I did the recall that was a couple years ago about headlights but I don't think that was the fix for it if its happening to others too.

Both low beam headlights quit at the same time. Fog lights and high beams still worked. Car has been to dealer since the headlight recall for other issues (door switch recall), but not sure if the dealer performed the headlight recall.
Definitely there is a problem with the low beam and fog lights in this car. Just entered to internet to find if someone like me, without additional incidents, suddenly my low beam and fog lights stopped working, and found numerous cases with the same problem.
Both low beam headlights and driving/fog lights stopped working. Problem was intermittent. Hi-beams continued to work. Eventually replaced light bulb and problem went away for several weeks. Problem has recurred, again with both low beam and fog lights not working occasionally. Now suspect a switch problem.

The both of the low beam headlight and the fog light failed to light up without warning at night around 8:30pm. There was a recall related to this issue recently and I had already brought the car in to plaza Honda of brooklyn NY to have them perform the recall remedy prior to this incident. So I brought the car back into the dealer and was told the headlight switch was shorted out and needed to be replaced. The dealer told it was not recall related and I had to pay out of pocket to fix the issue. Having headlight failure suddenly at night is a very serious safety issue that needs to be taken seriously. I feel that the recall procedure plaza Honda performed did not rectify this serious safety issue.
The contact owns a 2007 Honda Fit. While the vehicle was parked the contact noticed that both the driver and passengers side low beam headlights and fog lights would not come on. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician stated that there was a recall(NHTSA campaign id number: 10v624000, exterior lighting:headlights:high/low beam dimmer switch) but the VIN was not included. The contact decided not to have the failure diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000.
I have a 2007 Honda Fit. A few days ago, it became dark while driving and I turned on the headlights but the low beams and fog lights would not come on. The high beams did function. I drove home with the high beams on (pissed off a few other drivers who flashed their high beams at me. I tried low beams again without success. I searched the internet and found some Honda Fit forums where others have had the same issue. Several people had investigated the headlight switch and found burning of the metal posts inside the headlight switch plug. I took mine apart and found the same problem. I have, for now, fixed mine with the application of silicone grease to the contacts but don't know how long this fix will last. I'm very concerned that the headlights might go out some time while driving in the dark and cause me to lose control of the vehicle. Given that a number of other people have posted on the internet that they have had the same problem, I think its worth looking at a possible recall. As an electrical plug, its not a wear part; should last much longer than the 63,700 miles I have on my vehicle. Thanks.
My headlights and fog lights suddenly stopped working in my '07 Honda Fit sport. I had a Honda dealership inspect it, and they determined that the problem was not with the bulbs or with the fuses for these lights. The hi-beams and turning signals still work for the car, but I do not have regular headlights for driving at night which could definitely present a dangerous situation for me and others on the road.
The low beams and fog lights suddenly went. I pulled up to a gas station and turned off the car. When I went started the engine and turned went to turn the lights back on nothing happened. They haven't worked since. The high-beams are unaffected. Bulbs and fuses were tested but both were fine.
