Service ticket created 4/25/2020: ignition - start / stop switch: b12c5 start/stop switch internal failure. My 2017 Honda hrv fails to start or stop when pressing the ignition button once. May take several presses, gradually getting worse to the point where it may not work at all. The Honda service department told me a previous customer could not get her vehicle to even stop. Therefore this is not an isolated case, and checking online I found it affects other Honda vehicles of other model years as well. The Honda service department wants to charge me $360. 44 since I am just out of warranty. And they are unable to give me an exact date for when the part will arrive as it is on back order nationwide, which also shows this is not an isolated incident.
