Automatic Emergency Braking problems of the 2022 Honda HR-V

My hrv with 1800 miles suddenly stopped in an intersection only after owning the vehicle for 2 weeks. The Honda dealership tested the computer system, drove the car, and found no abnormalities. The dealership then asked that I pick up the car and drive it as they were unable to replicate the problem. If it were to happen again I was to let them know. I made it clear that I was not going to take the car back as I believed that the driving the car was posed a safety issue.

On multiple occasions, the vehicle has unexpectedly accelerated while I was pressing the brake pedal. This behavior is intermittent, unpredictable, and dangerous. Description of the issue: while slowing down or coming to a stop, the vehicle will occasionally surge forward despite my foot being firmly on the brake. The engine revs and the vehicle attempts to move forward against braking force. This is not driver error. It occurs without any warning lights, alerts, or diagnostic messages. Operating conditions when the problem occurs: - low?speed braking (parking lots, stop signs, traffic - foot fully on the brake pedal - no cruise control active - no pedals obstructed - normal road and weather conditions safety concerns: this defect creates a clear risk - rear?end collisions - pedestrian injury - property damage loss of vehicle control the behavior is consistent with an electronic brake/throttle control malfunction, including possible issues with the brake pedal position sensor, accelerator pedal sensor, brake booster pressure sensor, or driver?assist modules (abs, esc, cmbs). Other hr?v owners have reported similar incidents. Dealer response: the issue is intermittent, and the dealership has been unable to reproduce it. No repairs have been performed. No diagnostic codes were stored. Requested action: I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue as a potential unintended acceleration defect affecting the 2022 Honda hr?v.
