Tire problem #1

I am writing to report a serious tire failure incident involving a hankook tire that came with my brand-new 2023 Honda Hr-v. While driving recently — with approximately 16,500 miles on the vehicle — the rear tire suddenly blew out without any prior warning. Fortunately, I was able to maintain control and safely stop the vehicle without harm to myself or others. There were no signs or alerts from the vehicle’s tire pressure monitoring system (tpms) before or during the blowout. Strangely, the tpms warning light only came on after I replaced the damaged tire with the spare, which raises concerns about the effectiveness or response delay of the tpms. I would like to highlight: tire size : 215/60r17 •the tire had no visible damage or issues before the blowout, and I follow routine servicing through my dealership. •as a result of the incident, the rear wheel drum has a very minor bend. •unfortunately, the damaged tire is no longer in my possession ( I have changed it), but I do have clear photographs taken immediately after the incident, which I can share upon request. •the issue has not yet been evaluated by a dealer or third party, but I am open to doing so if needed. This unexpected failure poses a significant safety concern, and I believe it deserves further investigation to ensure no broader defect or issue exists.

Tire problem #2

225 / 55r18 bought new 2023 Honda hrv tires need replaced at 31,000 miles tread is gone. All Honda required tire rotation completed at dealership.

Tire problem #3

Tires were purchased from discount tires a few years back and on 6/08/2021 I went back to them due to a flat back passenger tire and they stated they are unable to patch and replaced the tire with a cost of $122. On Sunday October 31, 2021 I am driving on I-75 and the same tire explodes and takes out the wheel well and all the trim around the tire and damages the bumper of my Honda. Tire in question is kumho solus 215/55 r17.

Tire problem #4

I purchased the car with 4,500 miles in it in March 2019. I started driving it in mid April on highway I 71, since I have to commute to my work everyday from mile 169 to 119. The current mileage is 14,000 and had to get it serviced and the tires were rotated two days before the incident. The day of the incident was July 26th 2019. I was driving in I 71 in the central lane when the sign of low pressure in tires and then I lost control of my car, I tried to use the breaks which made it even more unsteady. Without using breaks, I made my way to the right lane as best as possible and waited until the vehicle stopped by itself. When the speed was slow enough, I pulled over to the right shoulder and wait until it completely stopped. This was in mile 140. 0 going south. As soon as I parked two more cars stopped in order to figure out if I was ok. And both mentioned that my tire flew away and hit their cars, but did not damage them. When I stepped out of my vehicle I noticed that I was missing the front right tire (passenger side) tire completely but the rim was intact since part of the rubber of the tire remained. Tire was michelin radial x tubeless m+s 215/55r17. I made a complaint to michelin which only were willing to pay 75% for a new tire. My final decision was to change all the tires and switch to goodyear brand since michelin could not warranty the quality of their products and will not assure that the other 3 tires were not defective.
