Sidewall separation of a goodyear regatta 2 tire on a Honda Odyssey van. Were told by Honda dealer that there was tread separation. Took to dealer (akron auto and truck tire) and was told that it was damage caused by hitting an object. Tire was replaced and other tires were inspected on or about March 10, 2006. Replaced two tires. Today the remaining goodyear regatta experienced a high speed separation of the sidewall tread with a concurrent blow out with my 16 year old daughter at the wheel. She brought the car to a stop and there was no damage other than the tire. The side wall blew on the inside of the car and there was no evidence of damage to the rim.
Normal freeway driving back from work. Suddenly, right-hand rear tire went flat. No punctures on the tire, but on the side of the tire, there is a crack about 1 inch long.
