The 2001 Honda Odyssey started having problems of stalling while driving on 01/15/10. When the problem occurred again on 01/20/10, we brought it to a Honda dealer for examination. The dealer had it for nine days until 01/29/10 but was unable to make a diagnosis. On 01/29/10, we took the vehicle back. On 02/03/10 and 02/04/10, the stalling recurred so we brought it back to the same dealer. Now, having been unsuccessful to make a diagnosis, the dealer notified us that they would not make any more attempts to repair the vehicle.
For the past 2 years we have been experiencing a raw gas smell in the cabin of our 2001 Honda Odyssey. We have taken it in consistently over this time. They smell it too but can't find it. We have paid to have repaired everything they have said it was and the problem continues. Google shows about 4800 posts for the same problem. Honda of America says they are done looking for the problem and says too bad. The smell lasts about 2-4 minutes and happens sometimes every day, sometimes twice a week and sometimes will skip a couple of weeks. When we have friends in the car, they are all afraid as we are that the car will catch on fire. It leaves us sick to our stomach and head.
