2 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 04/07/2014

I was driving to school, and the transmission was acting funny. I drove it approximately 30 miles to our dealership. Luckily I made it. The highest speed I could go was almost 40mph. Pulled into the dealership at 8:30a. M. And waited. Was given the news that it was the transmission, and it was almost $6,000. 00 to replace. They had me. Didn't know what to do. . . And had to pick up kids at school at 3;30p. M. Ended up sinking $40,000. 00 into a new 2014 Odyssey. Boy do I feel taken! and then to find out there was a problem with Honda transmissions from 1999. I do question the transmission of the one I am driving now. . . . It shifts funny. My 2004 also always had a fuel smell. Was concerned at times of starting it. We also paid to have the dash lights fixed. . . . At our expense. Didn't know there was a recall on that either. . . . . . Darn those dealerships!!! they got us on the transmission too!!.

3 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 03/14/2014

While coming to a stop for vehicles stopped at the traffic light at the end of my street, I rear-ended an oil truck in front of me. My driver's side airbag deployed as I applied the brakes to stop, causing me to lose control and hit the oil truck. My vehicle was totaled and my injuries were not severe.

4 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 03/27/2012

Parked car in parking lot--backed into spot--put into park?--shut off engine/removed key and exited vehicle/locked door and went into store--was informed within 5 minutes car had rolled approx' 50 feet into friends pickup truck. . My left front[driver side] had smashed into right rear of truck-no damage to trk--my car actually in reverse when key removed and engine stopped.

5 Exterior Lighting problem

Failure Date: 10/28/2011

About 2 years ago, the window actuator failed on the passenger side, I paid to repair this. Over the last 6 months, another 4 actuators have failed. One of them is the lock actuator on passenger side, second is the lock actuator on left sliding door, another is the window actuator on driver side and the actuator for driver side door lock. The problems of this magnitude are a serious safety issue as the window actuator on driver side suddenly failed while driving and was scary as the window just fell into the door. The other actuators failing with locks and doors can be a serious problems, especially with children in the vehicle where the window or door suddenly opens or closes. This seems to be an electrical component problem that need to be addressed by a national recall.
