The contact owned a 2004 Honda Odyssey equipped with michelin crossclimate 2 tires, tire size 255/60r112vxl, dot number: not available. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at an unknown speed and turning a corner, the front driver's side tire suddenly blew out, causing the vehicle to roll a few times, then flip, crashing into a tree where it came to a stop. The air bags did deploy. The driver sustained a fracture to the neck, and he was declared deceased on the scene. The vehicle was towed and totaled. A police report was filed. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
On 6-14-2022, I installed a full set of these tires - from costco, florence, ky ( all four tiers have been installed in costco ), to prepare to travel with my family from kentucky to louisiana. Early morning on 6-22-2022, while driving on the highway with my family, suddenly we lost control of the vehicle, and it started to swing. Fortunately, the vehicle stopped on the left shoulder without hitting anything. When we looked outside the vehicle, we found everything is good except the flat tire on the front driver's side. 911 and aaa have been called.
Terrible wet traction in rain and snow. Could not get vehice to go without a push in 1. 5 inches of snow on flat, gravel driveway. From a stop, tires spin on wet roads. Vehicle veers sideways as tires try to grip. Have nearly been hit pulling into traffic expecting vehicle to go and tires spin out on wet roads.
