The contact owns a 2005 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while driving at low speeds and attempting to make a turn, he would notice that the steering wheel would become very difficult to maneuver. The vehicle was inspected by a dealer who informed the contact that there was a fracture in the power steering column and that it would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. : the contact stated while sitting idle after driving a long distance, a whine was heard intermittently in the steering column. The vehicle was driven to the dealer who could not duplicate the problem. The consumer stated the dealer did state there were problems with other vans like his. Updated 12/01/06.
Consumer complained about a steering column problem. The front end made noise and the steering shook at speed of 50-70 mph. Dealer examined vehicle 5 times, and they are refused to acknowledge the problem. Manufacturer was sticking with the dealer. They said the specs were within vehicle limits. Had a hearing with the better business bureau and they said that there was a problem, and they asked the manufacturer to do the repairs. This started happening on March 12, 2005. Updated 03/28/06.
Problem with a brand new Honda Odyssey streeing wheel - it shakes. Car picked up with the problem - taken back three times within less than 3 weeks to the dealer for reapir. Problem reamin there.
