3 Wheel problem

Failure Date: 10/08/2012

When vehicle shifts from 2nd to 3rd, there is a delay(grind). A and b pillars are week and produce a whistling noise starting at 35 mph. The rear bench (the bigger part of the split bench) will not latch down to the floor. Pax run flat tires are deflating with no age or puncture related problems. All of these are safety hazards. Rear lift gate struts failed and will not lift up rear door and can cause the door to crash down.

4 Wheel problem

Failure Date: 04/08/2010

Please tell Honda not to sell / manufacture defective wheel locks. My Honda dealer sold be a Honda Odyssey van (brand new) with wheel locks. The wheel locks were manufactured by Honda. The wheel locks have got stuck in the tire and impossible to take out. This became a safety issue as when the tire blew out, I and 3 different tow companies could not remove the wheel lock. The car had to be towed in to the dealer.

5 Wheel problem

Failure Date: 08/20/2009

2005 Honda Odyssey ex-l. Both rear wheel bearings/hubs needed to be replaced. Started making rumbling noise at about 63,000 miles; replaced at 69,000 miles. Vehicle is used for light duty - no trailoring or heavy loads.

6 Wheel problem

Failure Date: 04/15/2006

The michelin pax tire system: Honda used this pax system on touring versions of the Odyssey Mini van in 2005 (and beyond but mine is a 2005). These tires wear extremely fast and unevenly. They are either an extremely poor design or are defective. Replacements can only be found at Honda dealers. This is mostly an annoyance and ends up costing the owner thousands of dollars more over the life of the vehicle. However, it may lead to safety issues in the event the average owner doesn't think to check their tires as frequently at a rate that would catch a problem.
