general problems of the 2011 Honda Odyssey

The whole van started vibrating ad shaking like the van was going to come apart. I checked on the NHTSA reports and a lot of this is happening. Some dealers are saying different things and Honda is not doing anything about it. It seems like the disks are to small for the weight. 1 person had racing disk and brakes put on and no problem. Other people had the brakes redone by Honda and about a few thousand miles the same thing happened. Check to see what people are saying on your web sight. ( not safe for us ) . I knew a while back Honda always had problems with the rotors. But, I thought they fixed that by now. Please do something. I just turned 40,000 miles. After 6 years. All other service has been good.

My battery light came on and a flashing "check charging system" warning. I took it to a mechanic and was told the alternator and battery were in excellent condition and there is something wrong with the sensor. We replaced the battery just to be sure and the error is still there. After extensive research we have come to know this is a common fault in the Odyssey's and has yet to be acknowledged by Honda.

While slowing down for a traffic light, engine was running rough and misfiring. Cel was flashing and check vsa and emissions came on. Found out engine oil level was literally zero. Called Honda. Later found out there is a service bulletin for this issue. Took it to dealership and they followed tsb11-033. Honda rep called back and said they need to monitor engine oil level and told me to bring it back in 1000 miles to check oil level. Did that at 50000 miles and dealer found normal. Again at 53000 miles the problem repeated today Sep 8, 2013. Will be calling Honda today or Monday. Seems like the issue may be with vcm. Very disappointed with this Honda vehicle.
