The contact owns a 2014 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while driving approximately 15 mph and merging onto the freeway, the front passenger’s side curtain air bag and front passenger seat air bag erroneously deployed. The contact stated that during the failure there was no crash to cause the air bags to deploy. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer however, the cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 95,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the srs system check warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic test and the contact was informed that the passenger’s side air bag curtain, srs unit, and main harness floor harness needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was contacted but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 165,932.

The vehicle had a full frontal impact , the impact was all the way to the engine but none of the airbags were deployed , my front passenger head was hit against the mirror/visor I am really concerned about the safety of this vehicle . Called american Honda about the incident and they have asked me to read the srs airbags manual on why they haven't deployed.
