The contact stated while reversing out of a parking space, the rear-view camera turned on, however, there was no beeping sound indicating the proximity of another vehicle, causing the contact to hit the front bumper of the other vehicle. There was no injury sustained. The contact stated that his vehicle was dented. The other vehicle was not damaged. The contacted later received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 23v431000 (back over prevention) that he related to the failure. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
