The contact owns a 2025 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that after coming to a complete stop, the auto start/stop feature engaged, causing the vehicle to idle, the transmission shifted to park(p), and the engine failed to restart independently, and the vehicle turned off unexpectedly. The battery warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was restarted. Additionally, the vehicle made a clanking sound while driving over a bump or while making a turn. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and it was determined that the battery had low voltage, and the contact was advised to deactivate the auto start/stop feature. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA action number: ea25004 (engine and engine cooling). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
