The contact owns a 2022 Honda Passport. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 23v431000 (back over prevention) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
The infotainment screen on my 2022 Honda Passport is constantly blacking out or freezing up. In addition to no use of radio or gps when this happens, there is also no backup camera or rear cross traffic warning. This creates a safety issue. The vehicle has been to the dealer twice. While they can see the problem, they indicated there's no fault code, therefore they don't know know how to proceed with a repair. I opened a case with Honda customer service but was told they couldn't do anything and I need to talk to the service manager at the dealer, or just go to a different dealer or Honda service center.
