At 62,000 a very noticeable gap in steering going left or right become present. As you turn the steering left or right before the tires began to turn a noticeable clanking notice like gears hitting. The action of clanking was repeating every move more noticeable in park while running and off. Same while driving at 30 and below. Ase mechanic stated it was the rack and pinion issue which could lead to a lost in control resulting in a crash. Dealer refuses to fix due being a 2022 not a 2023.
The vehicle pulls to the right and the steering is loose. The vehicle has only 20000 miles on it and this was not how it was originally delivered but developed over a short time. The dealer said they find nothing wrong but I know that is not a correct assesment but a method of the dealer not to either fix it or they do not have a method to correct this problem. There are many instances of this same problem on Honda vehicles with electric power steering on the internet sites. I simply want them to address a safety issue which appears to be fairly common.
