Wiper problems of the 2026 Honda Passport

On July 31, 2026, we we're driving north on interstate 81 in northeastern pennsylvania when a small rock flew up from another vehicle striking the windshield and creating a small star-shaped crack in the windshield.

On June 29, 2026, we were driving on interstate 87 near the albany airport when a small rock struck my car windshield which caused a small, star-shaped crack on the driver's side of my windshield. I took the car immediately to a safelite location near the albany airport to try and have the star repaired at their facility however the effort failed and turned the small star shape into a one foot crack going across the windshield. It was eventually replaced at another safelite the following week.

Windshield cracked and was replaced in early may 2026. Less than 3 weeks later, windshield has cracked again in exact same location. People on forum are starting to report same issues. I feel this is a design flaw in the windshield.

While driving on the freeway, somewhere between battle creek and kalamazoo, the sunroof spontaneously exploded. Thankfully, the sunroof liner had been closed so no glass entered the cabin. Had the sunroof liner been opened, shattered glass would have sprayed the entire cabin, driver, and passenger.

The rear-view mirror detached from inside the holding area more people are reporting this problem with Hondas that the spring inside is too weak and disengages.

Purchased a 2026 Honda Passport and driven approximately 1 month, 1000 miles. While going down the interstate, the panoramic sunroof exploded. Had the fabric cover not been closed, my children could have been seriously injured by shards of glass. We were able to safely pull over and assess the damage. Honda filed a warranty claim for repair.

Tiny rock hit windshield and immediately cracked the windshield a foot long. Driver side internal upper door panel foam seems to have blistered and created bubbles/hump.
