1 Wiper problem of the 2026 Honda Passport

Failure Date: 08/24/2025

Purchased a 2026 Honda Passport and driven approximately 1 month, 1000 miles. While going down the interstate, the panoramic sunroof exploded. Had the fabric cover not been closed, my children could have been seriously injured by shards of glass. We were able to safely pull over and assess the damage. Honda filed a warranty claim for repair.

Tiny rock hit windshield and immediately cracked the windshield a foot long. Driver side internal upper door panel foam seems to have blistered and created bubbles/hump.

3 Wiper problem of the 2023 Honda Passport

Failure Date: 06/13/2024

I have a Honda Passport 2023 that I bought 6 months ago. I was parking into my driveway when suddenly heard a strong noise coming from the back. I looked through my rear mirror and saw all my back windshield shattered without any object hitting it, I'm glad I wasn't driving on the fwy or my son wasn't in the back seat. I reported to Honda dealer and even do they agree to do a one time no cost replacement due to low mileage. They said they haven heard any cases of this safety manufacture defect.

4 Wiper problem of the 2019 Honda Passport

Failure Date: 06/01/2024

What component malfunctioned: the driver's side visor has malfunctioned and is extremely difficult to raise and lower. It's motion has become very stiff and requires both of the driver's hands to raise or lower it, which means that the driver must remove their hands from the steering wheel to utilize the visor. It is available for inspection as it is still installed in the car. Safety risk: the malfunctioning visor is a safety risk to both the driver, the car's other occupants and other drivers as it requires both of the driver's hands to raise or lower it which means the driver must temporarily take their hands from the steering wheel while driving to operate the visor. Removing ones hands from the steering wheel can cause the car to be temporarily undirected by the driver which can result in accidents. The malfunctioning visor also creates a visibility hazard. As the visor is too difficult to raise and lower, the driver can be blinded by the sun glare that the visor would normally block. Such a visibility issue can lead to accidents, especially if there is oncoming traffic. Inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others:? the dealership (ziegler Honda, kalamazoo michigan) was asked to look at the visor to determine why it wasn't working correctly. They informed me that this was a common issue with this model of Honda and that the only option to fix it is total replacement at a cost of $300. This would not be covered by insurance and there is currently no recall in place to address the defect. Warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? the visor started to not function smoothing in summer of 2024 and the problem has consistently progressed to the point that the visor is now extremely difficult to raise and lower and requires to hands to move. I can provide a video of the visor's operation showing how difficult it is to move.

5 Wiper problem of the 2020 Honda Passport

Failure Date: 05/18/2023

My 2020 Honda Passport was recalled to replace the two side mirrors in may 2023. I took my vehicle to autonation Honda dulles, va to have the recall performed. After the recall was performed I was driving home when the glass on both side mirrors fell out. I take the car in for a safety recall and the work performed by the dealer is substandard in completing this recall. This could have led to a catastrophic incident. I had to return back to autonation Honda to have the work done properly.

6 Wiper problem of the 2021 Honda Passport

Failure Date: 05/01/2023

Regarding NHTSA recall number 23v-174 Honda campaign number: fe5 service bulletin number: 23-035 on may 1st, 2023, we dropped off our vehicle for service at rick roush Honda in medina, ohio for the recall noted above. Both side mirrors were replaced per the recall. Upon getting the vehicle back from the service department, we noticed that the driver's side (left) mirror had waves in it that made it look like a 'fun house mirror'. The dealership didn't have an additional mirror on hand, so we drove with this replacement mirror for a week until an additional replacement came in. The second replacement was just as bad as the first. Upon pulling off this mirror, the service department grabbed the first replacement as well as the original mirror and compared all three. The waviness didn't appear in any of the mirrors when they weren't installed, however, upon attaching either of the replacement mirrors to the mirror assembly the waviness returned. The service department then decided to install the original mirror back on the vehicle until they could find out what was wrong with the replacements. It's now been 85 days, and the service manager, tony, hasn't heard back from his contacts at Honda in California. He stated they have had 7 to 8 others with the same complaint and are waiting on resolution for them as well. Honda forums posts show others with the same issues at other dealerships with these mirrors. I contacted Honda customer care today (7/25/2023) and they provided case # 14001138 with an initial follow-up date between 2-3 business days.

7 Wiper problem of the 2021 Honda Passport

Failure Date: 11/21/2022

I was pulling out of my drivway on a colder mid-November morning when the windshield on my new Honda Passport spontaneiously cracked from the upper left frame and ran all the way across the driver's side view. I was only pulling out of my driveway at about 5 mph when it cracked. My mechanic suggested Honda's have a problem with frame flex, which cracks the windshields similar to how mine cracked. I reported the defect to Honda but they said they don't replace windshields, and referred me to a 3rd party to pay the repair out of pocket. Since the windshield is a crucial to the structure of the vehicle, it's alarming how many people are experiencing the same problem with Honda windsheilds.

8 Wiper problem of the 2021 Honda Passport

At highway speeds, example 70 mph, the driver side mirror vibrates so violently you cannot see clearly what is in the adjoining lane making lane changes difficult, the dealer will not replace the mirror claiming it will just happen again, the dealer claims that Honda corporate is aware of the issue but they have bee telling me that for 21 months.

Parked and exited vehicle. With no apparent cause the rear window exploded. The outside temperature was only about 60degrees.

10 Wiper problem of the 2019 Honda Passport

Failure Date: 02/25/2020

While driving on the florida turnpike my sunroof just exploded and with the panel open shards of glass dropped into the interior of the car. We were driving at night and I couldn't tell if some of the glass flew back on the highway. With two passengers in the car, luckily nobody was injured.

11 Wiper problem of the 2019 Honda Passport

Failure Date: 01/02/2020

As per other recalls of the 2019 Honda Passport we are having the same symptoms. The windshield area along both a pillars are popping and making noise. This is a problem we have been having, finally looking it up on internet we found that other Passports of this year are being recalled for faulty weld spots. We have had this noise sitting at a red light, and clear good weather conditions and also while traveling down the road.

12 Wiper problem of the 2019 Honda Passport

Failure Date: 04/30/2019

The vehicle infotainment system locks up sporadically while the vehicle is in motion. As a result, the backup camera is inoperable until a fuse is removed from under the hood. This first happened shortly after purchasing the vehicle and has happened over five times since. This has not been addressed by the local dealer or Honda corporation despite multiple visits to the dealer to determine the problem.

13 Wiper problem of the 2019 Honda Passport

Failure Date: 04/26/2019

The infotainment system fails while using airplay, causing navigation, audio, bluetooth failure and the rear camera goes out as well. When trying to reboot by turning off the car, the engine stays off but the info system runs darkly in the background. Battery died overnight. Battery reconnect seemed to work but being that this happened twice and I got lost once as a result, I avoid plugging in my phone. This is outrageous, it's all over the internet and no one is stepping up. What about the lemon law? where's our protection?.
