Car Accelerates On Its Own problems of the 2003 Honda Pilot

The contact owns a 2003 Honda Pilot. While driving, the vehicle would erroneously accelerate to approximately 20 mph without the driver depressing the accelerator pedal. Also, while the vehicle was parked, the rpms would continuously rev up to 3,000. The vehicle was taken to hall Honda in virginia beach, virginia, but the cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 150,000.
