Diesel Fuel System Related Problems of the 2018 Honda Pilot

Diesel Fuel System problem

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost power. Additionally, on other occasions while stopped at stop signs and or red lights, and the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle hesitated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed as the fuel injector and or fuel pump that needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where the failure was not able to be replicated due to the independent mechanic clearing the codes. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel injectors needed to be relaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure re-occurred a few weeks later when the contact attempted to start the vehicle and it did not start. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000.
