Exterior Rearview Mirror problems of the 2023 Honda Pilot

The contact owns a 2023 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that the side door mirrors automatically tilt downward when shifted to reverse(r); however, the mirrors intermittently failed to return to their original position when shifted out of reverse(r). The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined there was a software malfunction, but a remedy was not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 500.
