2 Fuel Pump problem of the 2016 Honda Pilot

Failure Date: 03/21/2025

The contact owns a 2016 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start at the initial attempt. The contact stated that the vehicle eventually started after several attempts. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle hesitated and failed to accelerate properly while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled and lost motive power with several unknown warning lights illuminated. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to a dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the high-pressure fuel pump was defective and needed to be replaced. The contact owns a 2020 Honda Pilot. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 23v858000 (fuel system, gasoline). The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35 mph, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was able to restart when the vehcile was jumped. On another occasion while in reverse (r), the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was able to restart when jumped. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

5 Fuel Pump problem of the 2016 Honda Pilot

Failure Date: 05/01/2023

The contact owns a 2016 Honda Pilot. The contact stated while driving approximately 20 mph, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the fuel pump was faulty and needed to be replaced. The fuel pump was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred, and the vehicle was then towed to the local dealer who replaced the fuel pump a second time. The contact stated that the failure recurred a third time and the vehicle was towed back to the dealer. The failure mileage was 216,000.
