The contact’s husband owns a 2006 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that while the vehicle was vacant and in a parked position, she noticed a dark gray cloud of smoke and fire inside the vehicle. The contact then stated that she noticed that the front driver’s side door and the carseat had melted. No injuries were sustained. No medical attention was required. The fire department was notified, and the fire was extinguished. A fire report was not filed. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The dealer nor the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.
