Tire Pressure Monitoring System problem #1

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Ridgeline. The contact stated that the tire pressure monitoring system malfunctioned because the valve stem was corroded and unable to be opened. The vehicle was inspected by an authorized dealer who offered no assistance. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

Tire Sidewall problem #2

Complete separation of tread from the sidewalls; michelin ltx oem light truck tire. The tread remained in one piece but there was a clean & complete separation from the sidewalls approx. 2 inches from the bead [both sides]. There was no warning [vibration, rumbling, loss of control, etc. ] until the failure at approx. 65 mph on interstate 93, concord, nh. It was a clear, cold [17 deg. F] day with no obstructions or debris in or on the highway. [note: I have several photos of the tire in question after the separation].

Tire problem #3

All 4 tires are prematurely dry rotting causing a safety hazzard for the driver, passengers and other drivers on the road. Truck has 33,000 miles and is 4 yrs old. Other Ridgeline owners have reported same problem with same tires at Hondaridgelineowners. Com.
