1 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2015

After starting truck and leaving driveway srs light came on. It does this each time you start driving truck now. Went to dealer, paid fee to put it on their computer and it said nothing was wrong. They reset light and it came on again. The dealer looked at it again (no charge this time) and said they feel it is the driver side seat sensor that is part of the srs system. It will be about $1200. 00 to replace it, it may not fix the problem and is not covered by Honda even though it is part of the airbag safety system. How can a safety feature not be covered for the life of vehicle like seat belts? Honda has had so many air bag recalls how is this any different?.

2 Front Air Bag Sensor Control problem

Failure Date: 11/23/2013

Hit a deer at 55 mph, dead center on the front of my vehicle. Entire front end was caved in but the air bags didn't deploy. I was told by the insurance adjuster that the deployment sensor is located behind the radiator, and he was surprised also that the bags didn't deploy. This is a public safety issue that needs to be handled swiftly. I'm thankful that I didn't run off the road and hit a tree. If you think you're going to be protected by airbags in the event of a crash, don't be lulled into a false sense of security. This is a major safety failure on the part of Honda USA.
