The contact owns a 2008 Honda Ridgeline. While driving up a steep incline approximately 5 mph, the contact shifted into low gear and engaged the vehicle traction control system. When the accelerator pedal was applied, the transmission would not respond. The vehicle was able to continue after waiting for five to ten minutes. The manufacturer was notified and they advised that the vehicle be taken to the dealer for diagnosis. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 13,000. Updated 01/19/11 the consumer stated the vehicle rolled backwards and the small trailer that was being pulled began to jack knife. Updated 03/28/11.
