I am having brake indicator light popup 4 time in three week with some strange noise while driving high speed on freeway. I researched found some recall on my 2022 Honda Ridgeline. Based on the provided VIN, [xxx], it appears show my 2022 Honda Ridgeline may be affected by two safety recalls: 1. Rearview camera issue: the rearview camera tailgate wire harness might break, preventing the camera image from displaying and increasing crash risk. This affects certain 2020-2024 Ridgeline vehicles. Dealers will replace the harness free of charge. Owner notifications were sent on November 8, 2024, for Honda recall number yi7. 2. Brake master cylinder issue: an improperly assembled tie rod fastener could cause the brake master cylinder to separate from the booster assembly, leading to a loss of brake function and increased crash risk. This affects certain 2020-2023 Ridgeline, I called Honda customer service reported the problems case#[xxx]. However, no action from Honda at the time. Due to public safety concern and my self I report the incident for you to review. For any question you may have please email:[xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Steering problem #2

Vehicle automatically slams on brakes, shakes steering wheel out of hands, and won't take throttle causing me to loose control of the vehicle frequently. I does it at 75 mph with no other cars within 10 miles or at 50 mph. All with no other cars within miles. My family will not ride in vehicle cause scared because of un safe technology. I do not feel safe driving this Honda vehicle with this bad technology.

Steering problem #3

The heated steering wheel over heated causing the leather on the steering wheel to bubble up on the right hand side. The steering wheel got so hot when I was driving I could not hold it. I had to pull over and let the steering wheel cool off. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to it over heating. This happen Nov. 2022. The dealer said I need a new steering wheel. It is may 2023 and I am still waiting on a new steering wheel.

2022 Honda Ridgeline, problems started around 8k miles. When traveling at or above 45 mph and slowing down to a complete stop at stop sign and lights, steering wheel would shake aggressively and at times pull the truck to the left/right. Took it to dealer and they said they didn't notice anything wrong and could be "just how the truck is". Please help!.

Steering problem #5

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Ridgeline. The contact stated that the vehicle had been driven for approximately a mile; after arriving to her residence, she was unable to shift the vehicle into reverse while depressing the button to select reverse. The contact stated that the emission, transmission, and an unknown sensor warning light were illuminated on the instrument panel during the failure. The contact's husband was able to drive the vehicle to the dealer where they diagnosed the vehicle with a possible battery failure. The battery was replaced and the vehicle was returned to the contact. Two days later while the contact was in a drive thru line, a whitish-gray smoke started coming from the steering wheel. The steering wheel then became extremely hot to the touch. The contact’s husband who was seated next to her became alarmed and yelled out fire. The contact and her husband then exited the vehicle out of fear that the vehicle might catch on fire. The contact turned the vehicle off and the smoke stopped. The contact then had the vehicle towed back to dealer where it remained in their possession. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 200.
