The contact stated that while operating the vehicle with the auto high beam feature activated, the auto high beam feature malfunctioned, causing the high beam lights to turn off and on independently. The contact stated that the high beam lights were illuminated for more the 8 seconds before deactivating. The contact stated that the failure had created a visibility hazard for the driver. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the failure was due to a faulty multifunction camera. The multifunction camera was replaced but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and determined that the multifunction camera had operated as intended. The failure mileage was 100. The VIN was not available.

The contact recently purchased a 2024 Honda Ridgeline. The contact was informed by the dealer that the vehicle could not be delivered to due to NHTSA campaign number: 24v321000 (back over prevention) not being performed. The contact was informed that the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair.
