The contact owns a 2010 Honda Ridgeline. While driving at approximately 65 mph, the third brake light panel detached from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was undetermined. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred two years later. The panel placed a hole in the cover when it made contact. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN and failure mileage were unknown.

The rear brake light trim on my 2006 Honda Ridgeline keeps coming off. Honda and the dealer have fixed it 4 times for free but now refuse to fix it saying that since the vehicle is over 100,000 mikes, they need to draw the line somewhere. I believe this to be a safety hazard since I do not have the 3rd brake light and this comes flying off while on the highway striking other cars.
