Saturday August 25 was driving my car from branford CT to guilford CT thru north branford. Drove for around 10 minutes came to a stop light with a line of traffic. Slowed to a stop and put the car in neutral. The car turned off and would not start. Towed by aaa to my mechanic to find out why it would not start. He called and stated he could not turn the engine over. Tried several different things and the motor would not crank over even with a bar. He stated the engine seized.

I had my master cylinder replaced when my car was at 40,000 miles in the clutch. Now at 68,777 miles the clutch has something wrong but still shifts into gear at this point. Now they are guessing that the clutch fork is wearing out which is over $2,000. 00 to replace. I was also told by another mechanic that my master cylinder doesn't look like a Honda part. I can't afford to have to have this replaced right now so I was told I could drive it by Honda. If it goes out on the freeway I won't be able to shift gears. My car is not been drivin hard and it's well taken care of and serviced properly along with being garaged always. I put around 8,000 miles a year on it and I know how to drive it well. I don't race it or speed shift ever. I feel that this car has faulty parts in the clutch and plates along with the master cylinder. I'm not a mechanic but I do know a little about cars and did my research on Honda's. They are suppose to have long time running cars. I even took out a 7 year warrantee so I didn't have to pay so much out of pocket. If it was different things happening I wouldn't question it but this is all transmission things and I'm very worried that they were faulty to begin with. When I press the clutch down it sometimes catches at the top part. If that doesn't engage I can't slow down or stop.

A slit, about 1" long, appeared in the convertible top rear quarterpanel. Yesterday, I noticed on the other side of the car, in the exact same spot, an indentation, about to become another slit. Honda dealer and customer complaint both notified. They have nothing on file about this issue and offered no solutions. There obviously is an issue with the retraction mechanism design or function. Wear on a retracted convertible top , to the point of penetration, is unacceptable.
