One problem related to brake drum has been reported for the 1999 Hyundai Accent. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving 5 mph and more consumer heard noise coming from the rear wheels, and a grinding noise appeared when braking. This caused the vehicle not to stop properly when braking. Vehicle was taken to a repair shop, and mechanic determined that both rear drums were out of round/warped, and needed to be replaced.
