While driving at 55 mph and without any indication, vehicle lost all power. Soon after, smoke was coming from under the hood. Consumer pulled vehicle over, looked under the hood and added water to engine, vehicle would not restart. Dealer has been contacted and refused to repair vehicle due to no radiator cap. The cap was on when the vehicle blew up. The dealer will replace the engine. The water pump froze and burned the motor. No warning lights illuminated to indicate a problem.
While driving heard a loud noise, vehicle was overheating which was caused by a bearing in water pump that went bad and went out.
