Front Air Bag Sensor Control problems of the 2005 Hyundai Accent

I was traveling on a south outer road where the speed limit was 35 miles per hr. I drive a Hyundai Accent 2005 and this 1995 Dodge ram pickup failed to make a turn on the roadway and came in direct path of my car. But the impact was in the middle of my car toward the passenger side in which the impact dented my license plate in half and my air bag did not deploy at the impact . I had my seat belt on and I hit my head on the steering wheel , in which later on I had a bad headache and went to the emergency room and they said I had a mild whip lash. The police report said he was going too fast for conditions. Can not understand the impact of the front so severe that my airbag didn't deploy. The auto body has my car at this time and they are waiting on the insurance company to total it or not.
