One problem related to exterior lighting has been reported for the 2006 Hyundai Accent. The most recently reported issues are listed below. Please also check out the statistics and reliability analysis of the 2006 Hyundai Accent based on all problems reported for the 2006 Accent.
The brake/stop lamp switch has failed again. The switch was replaced in 2009 under the first recall issued for this problem. Another recall occurred in April of 2013, for select 2006 Hyundai Accents. Mine was not covered in this second recall. The switch has failed again and I believe this should have been included in the second recall.
